Skin Care Products

If you’re like most people, it’s not easy to find the right skin care products that work for you. It takes tons of trial and error, not to mention breakouts, and a crap load of money down the drain. I’ve had my share of experimenting with all sorts of potions that claim to work miracles, only to be terribly disappointed. There’s just way to many brands on the market to find the most compatible serums, creams, and face washes that will work for your individual needs, without being strategic. Although none of it will work miracles, great products along with other healthy practices can work wonders. Below I’ve listed a few things that I started  doing consistently, that has my skin flourishing.

Skin Care Products

Find A Great Medical Aesthetician

Guys you must find a great medical aesthetician. The difference between an esthetician and a medical aesthetician, is much more than just the spelling. Most estheticians work in spas or salons, and perform non medical non invasive services, like facials, body wraps, waxing, etc. Medical Aestheticians usually have more extensive knowledge of skincare products, and can create and suggest an at-home regimen for their clients. They’re also trained in therapies like micro needling, gentle acid peels, and micro dermabrasion. Personally, I find that for “beautifying” the skin a great medical aesthetician is the best way to go. Even if you currently have an awesome dermatologist that has helped to heal your skin, when you want that glow up, that’s where a skilled aesthetician comes in at. They’ll be able to take your skin to the next level.

Shop Retailers That Provide Generous Amounts Of Samples

Now some of you might not be aware of how amazing Sephora is. I mean you’re probably aware that they sell over three hundred brands, but the best part is that they offer samples for all of them..woohoo! Shopping Sephora gives you the opportunity to experiment, and mix and match product..until you find a product that perfect for your skin. The samples are usually large enough to last five days, sometimes more. This allows ample time to get a feel for how a product will work for you. Also remember to ask a ton of questions, and try to single out the sales people who really seem to enjoy their job. All beauty sales personal are not created equal. I’m just saying. Another really helpful thing to do is become a Beauty Insider. There’s tons of perks, and you also receive even more goodies and samples.

Opt For Fragrance Free Facial Products

Most skincare products have some sort of  fragrant smell to them. The added chemical fragrances are sometimes very irritating to many people who have sensitive skin. Even those of us who have no known allergies can encounter horrible reactions when we use facial products that are laced with these fragrances. Most of the time these reactions show up as clogged pores, a ton of very small bumps on the skin, and even red inflamed areas. It’s a good idea to learn how to decipher what’s good, and what’s not in a skin care product, by reading the label. There are plenty of natural fragrances also, that can have a very pungent scent. These are usually products that have some sort of essential oil. Essential oils are usually fine. If you have very sensitive skin, try to incorporate products into your routine that have as little additives as possible.

Skin Care Products

Having my own share of stubborn issues, I can’t stress enough the importance of having a great aesthetician. Its game changing. These are three of the best practices that have worked tremendously well for me. I hope it helps you all in your quest to find your holy grail skin products. Oh, and don’t forget that sun screen guys!
